Preparation For Your Tan
Clients should exfoliate and moisturise with a non-oil based moisturiser, the day before the tan. Hair removal should be done at least 24 hours before your tan; it allows pores time to close. On the day of the treatment don't shower as DHA is more compatible on slightly acedic skin. Do not apply deodorant, perfume or make-up.
Clothing
For full body tans, clients may choose to wear a bikini or bra and pants. For partial tanning, clothing should be worn that gives access to those areas, which need to be tanned. Colour may be difficult to remove from some materials. Organic's tan will wash out of natural fabrics but not synthetics. During and after treatment please wear either dark clothing that will not show the fine brown overspray or clothing that you do not mind being discoloured.
After leaving the salon
Organic's tan takes a minimum of 6 hours to develop its full colour strength. All bathing, showering, swimming and vigorous exercise must be avoided during this period. Do not bathe for 24hrs after treatment. Don't shave for at least 12 hours after treatment as this has a similar effect to shaving. Don't use exfoliating facial washers or toner on the face for at least 24hrs after treatment.
Prolonging your tan
Daily moisturising is needed to help prolong your tan, depending on your skin type. Organic's tan gives no sun protection and you must use a high factor sunscreen, which we would recommend. After about 4-5 days you will need to exfoliate again this helps your tan breakdown properly.
